Physioworks Health Group

A four-clinic Melbourne physiotherapy group with thirty years of history, two of the profession's Fellows at the helm, and a website that hid all of it. This concept rebuilds their front door in a clinical-editorial style.

This is an unsolicited concept redesign built as a portfolio demonstration. It is not a client engagement, and Physioworks Health Group has not endorsed or commissioned it. All facts on the concept come from their public website.

What we observed

Facts a patient meets on the current site, noted during a public review on 14 July 2026. No systems were accessed; nothing beyond the public pages was touched.

  • No online booking path anywhere on the site: every appointment requires a phone call to one of four separate clinic numbers
  • The group site's contact page returns a 404 error; patients are routed to an anchor link instead
  • Hero welcome text and the booking button render over a photo slider with too little contrast to read
  • The homepage delivers roughly 205KB of HTML before a single image loads
  • No first-visit guide, no fees information, and the TAC / WorkSafe / NDIS / DVA registrations are not surfaced where patients decide
  • Two Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists (FACP) lead the group, including a 23-year Collingwood FC head physiotherapist, yet neither story appears above the fold

What the concept adds

Their tagline promoted to the hero

“Everybody is an athlete... we just have different events” was buried on the old homepage. It is the strongest line the practice owns, so the concept opens with it in editorial type.

A booking path on every screen

Sticky header CTA, a clinic-finder card in the hero, per-clinic phone buttons with live hours, and a closing CTA band. The concept is structured so an online booking vendor can slot straight in.

Specialist credentials surfaced

A dedicated FACP directors panel explains what a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists is, and puts the Collingwood FC and elite-sport history to work as trust evidence.

Eight services mapped to four clinics

Every service row states exactly which clinics offer it, so a patient never rings Pakenham for podiatry that only runs in Camberwell and Cranbourne.

Funding questions answered up front

TAC, WorkSafe, NDIS and DVA registrations sit in the top bar, the trust strip and the FAQ, where they influence the decision to book.

Structured data for a multi-clinic group

MedicalBusiness schema with all four clinics as departments, each with its own address and phone number, ready for local search and AI answers.
